Without reading the notes, this is what we know:
Transport and communications play a very important role in our lives. We need transport to move around in the fastest way. Imagine taking 5 hours just to get to school! Calculate what time you would have to wake up! We need communication or else we will be in our own world. Each of us thinks differently and if we don't communicate, then we would forever be on each other's nerves, 'my' world clashing against 'your' world.
Tramsportation in Singapore is not exactly what we call 'first-class'. The reason is because of the recent MRT delay or breakdown. But from the recent MRT breakdown, we can see how we are affected if we do not have transportation. As for communication, we believe Singaporeans to be the first. That's because people are always communicating, through multi-media or face-to-face. All this mordern technology sure made communicating faster and easier. Now, imagine if all communications were taken away. Some can't even live without a mobile phone, how can they live without voicing their thoughts out? I always gat an irritating tempt to voice out my thoughts whenever I feel like my thoughts were really good. So I guess, I'm lucky to be born into a world with transportation and communication.
Yes, I do agree that many people cannot live without their electronic gadgets that help them to communicate TOO much in modern society. This is mainly because the people now are too dependent on advanced technology that they do not action it out when simply typing out several words can help them solve the problem. Now that social networking websites are up and alive, more people communicate through the internet chatrooms only and are actually not living in the real world. What if it becomes too convenient for everyone and everyone communicates like that in the future only? What will be the effects of these creations?

I feel that though we as teens want to be heard and speak our thoughts out, some words we say may not be constructive in solving a problem, but rather, making the problem escalate. The social media these days makes it easier for people to voice out their opinions and helps us get connected and be in the know, but it also makes us dependent on it. Some people abuse the power of social media by sending fake information of terrorist attacks and thus, instilling fear in many. Social media can be good in building bonds between people but it can also harm many depending on how you use it.
